Version: 1 September 2026. These terms supplement the FutureHost Terms of Service and the policies of the relevant registrar and registry.
1. You are the registrant
You must provide an accurate legal name, email, telephone number and postal address and keep them current. You confirm you are entitled to request the name and that registration and use will not infringe another person’s rights. FutureHost acts as the registration service provider through its registrar supplier; the registry ultimately controls the domain.
2. Search, quote and completion
A search result or quote does not reserve a name. We check availability and registry cost again immediately before submission. The checkout shows the separate first-year registration amount, currency, expected renewal price and quote expiry. If availability or the approved price changes, we stop and release or refund the captured payment as appropriate.
3. Domain charges and plan allowances
Website and Business plans provide domain connection slots but do not include registration fees. You can buy a supported domain through FutureHost or connect a domain registered elsewhere. A purchased domain is charged separately from the hosting subscription, and renewals are separate annual charges.
4. Immediate registration and cancellation
Domain registration is submitted promptly after you confirm the spelling, registrant information and terms. You expressly request that immediate submission. A successfully registered name normally cannot be undone or returned, but your statutory rights remain unaffected and we will refund a failed or wrongly charged registration where required.
5. Renewal and expiry
You can choose manual or automatic renewal. Automatic renewal is off until you opt in and a payment method is saved successfully. Renewal costs can change; we display the current expected amount and send an advance reminder using the account contact details. You remain responsible for keeping payment and contact details current. Failure to renew can lead to suspension, redemption fees or permanent loss of the name under registry rules.
6. DNS, HTTPS and email
FutureHost may create or request DNS records, issue TLS certificates and configure mail records to provide your services. When you use an external DNS provider, you are responsible for adding the displayed records. DNS and certificate changes can take time outside FutureHost’s control.
7. Transfer, disconnection and disputes
Disconnecting a domain stops FutureHost routing but does not cancel its registration. Contact support to request an auth code or transfer, subject to identity checks, registry locks, payment status and applicable policy. Registries or dispute-resolution providers may suspend, transfer or cancel names under their rules or law.
8. Privacy and contact
Registrant data is encrypted in FutureHost’s database and shared with the registrar, registry and disclosure services as required to register and maintain the domain. See the Privacy Notice. Use the contact page for registration errors, renewal, transfer or disputes.
